You had to get up early and had to be fast, in order to catch the 2009 Milk Run winners, as they braved the heat and humidity on Saturday morning, at Coleman Park. Aleigh Bessonett, of Miller Grove, captured the 1K race and was declared the winner.

Everett Wilder, recent graduate from Sulphur Bluff High School, "pours it on" as
he heads for the finish line in Saturday's race, capturing the crown with a 17.44 time.
It was recent Sulphur Bluff High School graduate, Everett Wilder, who bested all the others to take the 5K crown, with a winning time of 17.44.

The "uphill" battle was grueling at the end of Saturday's 5K Milk Run.

Jamie Miller, of Reilly Springs, won her age division in Saturday's 5K Run.
"We had over 60 participants in this year's race and were pleased with the participation," advised David McCaig, a member of the Hopkins County Dairy Festival Board. "We had participants from all over Northeast Texas and all of them complemented us on the course for the race!"

Harold Franklin, of Yantis, at 78 years old, continued to the finish
and easily won his age division in the 5K Milk Run.
