Just in time to use those formal skills to impress their sweethearts, the ACE Program at Sulphur Springs Middle School conducted their annual formal dinner, on Friday night. "Dressed to the Nines" and "armed" with social skills that they had just learned, students embarked on an evening of dinning and dancing, in a formal setting.
"It's great to know these skills, so that if you're ever in a situation that you need to know them, you'll know what fork to use, which glass is for water, and how to guide you way through the social setting, with grace," expressed one of the young ladies, on Friday night. "You never know when you might be asked to navigate your way through a formal dinner!"

"I know it's important, but I'm more comfortable eating a cheeseburger at Sonic, in my jeans!" explained a young gentleman, who spoke for several of his friends. "I think I'll be hosting more backyard BBQs, but you never know when you'll have to attend a formal situation, so you need to know how to dress, how to dine in style, and conduct yourself in a formal setting."
Parents and sponsors served as the wait staff for Friday night's event and a dance followed the dinning experience.

And, by the end of the night, the boys found out that a formal setting could really be fun!!!
