Alan Screws Announces Withdrawl
From Commissioner Race

From Alan Screws Campaign

Candidate for Hopkins County Commissioner Precinct #3, Alan Screws, announced that he is withdrawing from this year's political race, on Tuesday afternoon.  Giving personal business reason, Screws announced that he didn't have the time to devote to the job that he knew the residents of Precinct #3 deserved, as his reason for leaving the race.

In a prepared statement, Screws said, "When I signed up to be a candidate for Hopkins County Commissioner Precinct #3, I thought I could devote the amount of time needed to properly serve the residents of the precinct, in this capacity. After much prayer and consideration of all of my commitments, over the past few weeks, I now realize that would not be possible."

"Our county needs commissioners who can give their undivided time and attention to this office. It would be a disservice to my family, my business, and the people of Hopkins County, for me to continue my candidacy," stated Screws. "Therefore, I am withdrawing as a candidate for Hopkins County Commissioner Precinct #3!"

"I want to express my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to everyone who has encouraged me and given me their support," expressed Alan and his wife, Kim. "It's because of that great support and the time commitments that you deserve, that we've decided to withdraw from this race!"
