"Festival of Trees"
Carriage House Alzheimers' Walk Fundraiser
by: Bobby McDonald

It's a festival of trees, that is moving all over Sulphur Springs, to get everyone in the holiday spirit! Yes, they're compliments of the staff and residents of Carriage House Nursing Home and can be purchased for the holidays. "We were looking for an idea to raise funds for the annual October Alzheimers' Walk and decided to craft Christmas and holiday trees," advised Sharla Campbell, with Carriage House. "We created the trees and solicited donations from organizations to put gift cards on the trees, for example, the Lion's Club tree is made for the men in your life and has donated gift cards for Bass Pro Shop. And, the Western themed tree has items for the person that likes cowboys and cowgirls in their life!"

The trees were on display at the recent Hopkins County Fall Festival and you're able to "bid" on your choice of the tree you like, in a silent auction. This week the trees are on exhibit in the lobby of the Guaranty Bond Bank, and they will located next week in Alliance Bank's lobby. Go by and look at the beautifully decorated trees and make your bid, on your favorite holiday tree!

This holiday tree will get you in the mood for Halloween!
