Twenty-One Year Old
Sulphur Springs Man Killed
in Early Morning Accident

A twenty-one year old Sulphur Springs man, Nathan Spatero, was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident in the 1400 block of Industrial drive. The man was struck by a vehicle as he walked along the roadway, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Friday morning.

According to reports from Sulphur Springs Police Department, the vehicle was driven by James Spinks, age 24, of Yantis. Spinks has been arrested by Sulphur Springs PD and charged with intoxicated manslaughter, in the incident, and failing to stop and render aid.

Sulphur Springs Police Chief Jim Bayuk has requested the aid of the Texas Rangers and Department of Public Safety personnel to reconstruct the accident scene.
