SSISD Bands Present Annual
Christmas Concert, Thursday Night

From Beginning Band to the Sulphur Springs High School Jazz Band, students in the music program at SSISD were "on parade" Thursday night in the auditorium of the Hopkins County Civic Center, as they presented their annual Christmas Concert for the public. It's the annual "progress report" for students and a chance for them to be spotligted, following marching season and as they take on the Christmas spirit, with some Christmas favorites.

"It's our opportunity to 'show off' what we've accomplished and the many, many hours of practice that goes into our program," expressed Mr. Charlie McCauley, Fine Arts Director for SSISD. "We enjoy playing these Christmas favorites and the audience always seems to get in the spirit of the holidays with the program! We want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and thank them for their support throughout the year!"

The bands at each level will now begin work on their concert season and be working with music for the upcoming UIL contests, held in the spring.
