A large group of supporters followed the Wildcat Marching Band to Bossier City , Louisiana, on Saturday, to cheer them to a fourth place finish in the difficult contest. The Parkway Marching Contest attracts high school bands from Arkansas, Texas, and Louisiana and is one of the more difficult contests for competition.

The SSHS Marching Band presented their routine of "Hemisphere: Earth of Africa, Fire of South America, Winds of Antarctica, Waters of Australia," that they have been preparing all season. They received an over-all superior rating for large bands and finished 4th out of 11 bands in their division.
The band will be competing on Saturday, October 27th, at the UIL Marching Band Contest in Mesquite, Texas, where they have hopes of receiving another top rating.

Congratulations,
Wildcat Marching Band and
Best of Luck at
Saturday's Competition!!!
