In what was termed one of the "biggest yet," the members fo the Miller Grove VFD Cooking Team were determined to be the 2012 Volunteer Fire Department BBQ Cook-off Champions, after a panel of judges, tasted all of the entries, on Saturday evening. By a "one-point" margin, the North Hopkins VFD was awarded second place, and the Arbala group was named to the third place awards.

 

North Hopkins VFD was awarded 2nd prize.

 

Arbala VFD was awarded third prize.

 

 

 

 

In the "Best of the Rest" Category, it was the Omaha Fire Department that took first place, Luminant Energy that took 2nd place, and the Hopkins County Law Enforcement group that was awarded the third prize.
