Biker Rally Hosted on Main Street, Saturday
by: Bobby McDonald
"It's the first time I can ever remember a biker rally being held in downtown Sulphur Springs!" exclaimed one Saturday morning shopper, as she was discussing the 7th Annual Twist For Life Biker Rally held in memory of Dalton "Twist" McKeever, on Main Street. Main Street was blocked to traffic, on Saturday, as the rally was hosted on the street and vendors sold a variety of goods, from booths. Proceeds from the rally were to be donated to the Micah Reed Medical Fund and to the Yantis Volunteer Fire Department.
The family of Dalton "Twist" McKeever, including left to right, two of his grandchildren, his two daughters,
his wife, Carol McKeever Darlin, and his parents Jeanette and James McKeever, were present for Saturday's
activities, on Main Street.
The Biker Rally participants left at 11:00 a.m., on a tour through Northeast Texas and the last bike was to be back in by 4:00. Music was provided throughout the day as well as food vendors and a number of other activities.
