Carnival, Friday Night

It was a night of fun and games at Bowie Elementary, on Friday night, in Sulphur Springs, as the PTA hosted their annual Winter Carnival. Games of "go-fish," cake walks, bingo, basketball toss, and football throws were hosted at stations throughout the school and popular with all the children.

"I won my very own goldfish!" exclaimed one student, happily, as his father wasn't quite as excited.

"Why don't you go over their and win a cake!" was the father's response. "Now, that's something that looks good!"

"Money raised from our carnival allows for the 'little extras' in the classroom, that helps the students and teachers have a more successful year!" added one of the sponsoring parents. "And look at all the fun the kids are having! This is one of those traditions that have continued for generations!"

And, if the shouts of excitement was an indication, Friday night was a fun and exciting time in the lives of Bowie Elementary students as they bought tickets and traveled from room to room playing games.

Guaranty Bond Bank sponsored this popcorn stand!
