Texas Agri-Life Extension Hosts
Business After Hours, Thursday

Thursday's Chamber of Commerce sponsored Business After Hours was hosted by the Texas Agri-Life Extension Service and featured a presentation on the many facets of Agri-Life Extension in our community. County Extension Agents, Johanna Hicks and Mario Villarino, explained to those present the programs that have been identified as areas of need in Hopkins County and the many ways they are attempting to address those needs.

Hicks told guests about the 4-H Program, her work with those affected by Diabetes, and a number of programs that she offers.

 

 

 

 

Villarino addressed the group about his work in the recycling program, environmental issues, and the continued support of the large dairy and beef cattle industries in Hopkins County.

Refreshments were served and door prizes were awarded to those that were "lucky" in the crowd!

 

Addison Caddell, who celebrates her birthday on Friday, was one of the lucky door prize winners!
