For many Sulphur Springs High School students Monday was a day to help make college choice decisions, as Career Day was hosted at the school.  Representatives from colleges from as far away as Mississippi were on hand to help students with admission requirements, housing decisions, and general information about the schools, that they would possibly be attending.

"It's our opportunity to visit with students and help them in making career decisions," advised one of the college representatives. "Of course, we want them to attend our university, but many of the same requirements for testing, copies of transcripts, and financial aid apply to wherever they choose to attend, so we're helping them to get their information together for the application process. And, it's never too early to begin planning for your college enrollment."

Many underclassmen were asking testing questions, on Monday, while the seniors were more likely to have their scores and asking for aid for admissions applications, and housing requirements.

"This gives everyone a chance to ask questions," advised Steve Carter, SSHS Vice-Principal. "Many times students are visiting via e-mail, or sending their applications in for consideration, but this gives them the opportunity to talk to someone who know about the school and who can assist them in contacting the person that can answer their questions at the school!"
