Idol From Cool, TX, Casey James,
Does Cowtown, Friday Night

We first met him when he appeared on American Idol and won the "number three spot," as one of the best musical talents of the season. Well, Casey James, the Idol from Cool, Texas, came back home to Texas and played Billy Bob's Texas, on Friday night, before a large crowd, many of which had known him in his hometown, before he gained national acclaim on Idol.

Casey entertained the crowd with his signature hit "Let's Don't Call It a Night" and then broke into "Cryin' on a Suitcase" that has become another popular favorite among fans.

 

Known for his curly blonde hair and baby blue eyes, James wowed the crowd with his versions of "Long-Legged Night," "She's My Girl," and "Love the Way You Miss Me!"

 

 

James next broke into his "Drive" that talks about his "roots" here in Northeast Texas....driving back roads, worn-out boots "stompin' on the gas," and hay fields, and delighted the crowd, receiving a standing ovation from all the younger generation, in the crowd!

 

 

 

 

 

Always having an infinity for music and showing talent at an early age, playing in local bands near his hometown in North Texas, James developed a national presence, when he missed the the American Idol try-outs, three years ago. He had to travel to Denver, Colorado, to attend a try-out and was selected. His guitar and song writing talents, as well as the smooth, easy listening sound of his mellow voice, won him a following as he continued to introduce himself to the large American Idol audience.

His slower songs, like "Undone"  and "So Sweet," appeal to a large audience and continue to showcase his many musical talents.

It was a great night of fun for North Texas fans, as one of their own returned home to entertain them at one of the premier "honky tonks" in the state. Welcome back to Texas, Casey James!!!
