Central Baptist Church Marks Retirement
and 29 Years of Service,
With Pastor Kenneth Rhoades Day, Sunday

June 24, 2012 was a Day of Celebration for the Ministry of Kenneth and Patsy Rhoades He's been described as a faithful disciple, an encouraging friend, an extraordinary pastor and after forty-five years in ministry, Pastor Kenneth Rhoades remains determined to continue serving the Lord following his resignation as pastor of Central Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs.

With almost 500 in attendance, CBC members honored and celebrated Bro. Rhoades 29 years of service as pastor of Central Baptist Church. A long-time friend and Pastor, Bill Campbell, preached during the morning service. Bro. Rhoades and Patsy were honored during the morning service and at a reception afterwards complete with a meal and testimonies from family, former staff, and church members on how Bro. Rhoades has touched their lives.


Pastor Rhoades Family were present to honor him, as well.
As a boy, he accepted Christ at the age of nine. After graduation from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, he began his ministry. Currently Bro. Rhoades is completing his 29th year of service as the pastor of Central Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Pastor and Patsy will be missed by the Central Baptist Church family. God has truly blessed the congregation through their faithfulness and diligence.
