New CERT Graduates Receive
Diplomas, Saturday

Saturday afternoon was a time of celebration for twenty-four local residents as they graduated from the CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) Program, following three six-hour sessions of training. The group included area teachers, housewives, medical staff, and volunteer fireman, who took time from their busy Saturday's to train in aiding Hopkins County residents in case of an emergency.

 

 



The group completed a search and rescue mock emergency, on Saturday, as part of their training exercises.

 

 

 

The graduates were addressed by County Judge Chris Brown, local emergency personnel, and local firefighters, and thanked for their training and willingness to give of their time and services.

 

 

 



Instructors were Moose and Dawn Morgan.
Graduates included: Malcolm Joslin, Morgan Joslin, Gwen Webb, Corey Robinson, Sherry Chester, Judy Tipping, Alexis Navarrette, Larry Finney, Betty Lawson, Sherry Finney, Hillary Young, Angela Blanchard, Charlsea Thornton, Cindy Tawil, Jeny Hatley, Joyce VanDruff, B.J. Stewart, Heath Gammill, April Gammill, Kathy Kirkpatrick, Derran Harris, Cindy Elam, Roelie Vellenga, and Troy Young.
