Pilot Club Spring Extravaganza, Saturday, March 24th at the Civic Center
Have you gotten your tickets to the Spring Extravaganza presented by the Pilot Club that will take place Saturday, March 24th from 9-11:30. If not, you may contact any Pilot club member or visit www.sspilotclub.org. This year, the guest speaker will be Sherry Kulwicki, founder of Firmly Planted Ministries. 2nd Annual Sheriff Butch Adams Meet-N-Greet & Family Day, Saturday, March 31st
Please come and meet the staff of the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office and their families. Enjoy refreshments, hot dogs and & bounce houses for the kids. Children, ages0-10 years old can enjoy and Easter Egg Hunt with prize eggs. Meet your D.A.R.E. Officer and take a look at the neighborhood crime watch table that will be on display. Entertainment provided by Dale “The C: Cummings. Sheriff’s care and trucks will be on hand for the kids to see. Please come and join the fun. Bring your chairs and pop up tents and enjoy your visit. Event takes place Saturday, march 31st from 10:00am-1:00pm at 298 Rosemont Street, Sulphur Springs.

Registration forms are available NOW for the 23rd Annual Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament that will take place on Friday, April 13th at the Sulphur Springs Country Club. We have also finalized that Sulphur Springs Dodge, Jeep will be offering up a 2012 Jeep Wrangler for the first hole in one made on hole number 9! It could be your lucky day!!!
Join Dial Study Club in Celebrating 60 Years! Sunday, April 15, 2012
Dial Study will be celebrating 60 years of service “Dedicated to Making a Difference” on Sunday, April 15th at First United Methodist Church Parlor from 2:00-4:00. Speakers will be John Sellers and Leslie Harred. Donations will be accepted for “The Dinner Bell” and “Backpack Buddies”. Only a few granite tiles left for the South Sidewalk at Buford Park
The Adult Leadership Class is wrapping up the sales of the Sidewalk Tiles that will go along the newly poured sidewalk on the South Side of Buford Park. The tiles are only $300 for text and $340 for a picture or logo. This walkway gives you the opportunity to honor your family, business or other loved ones and it will be there for years and years to come. We will be distributing a new map…but it is not ready yet!
We have had many phone calls, so I wanted to let you know that Judge Brown has commissioned Liberty Marketing to create a new Sulphur Springs, Hopkins County, Como/Pickton and Cumby map. The map is not finished yet, but I will let you know as soon as it is so you may stop by and pick one up. Liberty Marketing is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, so we will be distributing these maps at the Chamber along with the city/county map from Echo Publishing. Brown Bag Lunch Bunch
Bring a sack lunch, comfortable walking shoes, and join the fun with the Brown Bag Lunch Bunch, every Friday at First Baptist Church ROC (Recreation Outreach Center) at noon. A brief nutrition tip and inspiration will be provided, followed by walking on the indoor track. No registration necessary. Meet in the ROC café. Cooking Well with Diabetes
Registration is now taking place for the 4-lesson Cooking Well with Diabetes series, scheduled for April 16, 19, 23, and 26, at the Hopkins County Extension Office, 1200 W. Houston Street. Starting time is 6:00 p.m. Cost for the series is $20, payable at the first session. Cooking demonstrations and recipe sampling will be included in the series. Fee is $20, which covers all materials, recipe sampling, and door prizes. Contact Johanna Hicks, at 903-885-3443 to sign up. Seating is limited to 25.
