Spectacular Turn Out for Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening of the Lobby & Gift Shop at the Hospital
Hundreds of people turned out at the unveiling of the new lobby and Johnnie Masters Gift Shop at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital, Tuesday, June 30th. Featured in the photos are many of the Hospital Board Members, Hospital Volunteers, Doctors, Nurses, Chamber Ambassadors and Directors and lots of local residents. Amazing changes are taking place at our hospital…if you haven’t been by there lately, I encourage you to stop by and take a peek…you will be amazed!

Ribbon Cutting for Big, Bold & Beautiful Boutique at Noon, Friday, July 3rd

Ribbon Cutting at Paint Ball City, Saturday, July 4th at 9AM
Welcome Paint Ball City to Sulphur Springs and the Chamber of Commerce! We will be hosting a ribbon cutting during their Grand Opening on Saturday, July 4th at 9AM at 201 Houston Street (just east of Church Street on Houston, before the railroad tracks). Come check it out!

As many of us celebrate Independence Day with a day off from work, I just hope that we will stop for a minute and remember why and how we are afforded that luxury. Every single day, men and women have chosen to fight for the United States, so that we may live in the land of the free…so please take a moment to thank a soldier for their commitment to this great country!

The Senior Citizens Center Meal A Day program needs YOUR help!!!
The Senior Citizens Center is in need of volunteer cooks for the Meal A Day program. The volunteers help cook the food, pack it for delivery and clean up the kitchen. They are also in need of a Como/Pickton route driver on Wednesdays. If you are interested in volunteering, please call Karen at 903-885-1661.
Taxed Enough Already Rally set for July 3rd at 6:30pm in front of the Courthouse!
Governor Rick Perry, U.S. Congressman Ralph Hall, Hopkins County Judge Cletis Milsap, Hopkins County GOP Chairman Erwin A. Cain, C. J. Duffey of Color Blind Ministries, Art Romanat, and others will be speaking at the Taxed Enough Already Party Rally on the Square at 6:30pm on July 3rd. All individuals who are tired of “more and more” taxes are welcome to attend…it is a bi-partisan event! Also feel free to bring food, drink and lawn chairs.
