43rd Annual World Champion Hopkins County Stew Contest—October 27th!
Stew sites are filling up fast! The deadline to turn in stew entry forms and still keep your stew site from last year is Friday, September 21st. If you have never cooked stew before, but would like to, you may register now, and the remaining stew sites will be available for selection on September 24th! New to Stew....Vendor Booths!!!
For the first time, the Chamber of Commerce will be offering vendor booth space during the World Champion Hopkins County Stew Contest! Vendor Booths will be set up along the new walking track on the south side of Connally Street at Buford Park. If you would like more information, please call the Chamber at 903-885-6515.
Boys and Girls Club Chicken Spaghetti Luncheon, Friday, September 7th from 11-2 at FUMC
Please help support the Boys and Girls Club by stopping by the Fellowship Hall at First United Methodist Church on Friday, September 7th from 11-2 for Chicken Spaghetti. Tickets are only $5 each and are available at local banks and at the FUMC Office. You may dine in or carry out!
Ribbon Cutting for The Democratic Party Headquarters, Wednesday, September 12th 313 Main Street
Please join us for the ribbon cutting for The Democratic Headquarters on Wednesday, September 12th. They will begin serving burgers and hot dogs at 11:30 and we will cut the ribbon and take the picture at noon. This is also the place that you may pick up signs for the Democratic Candidates.
