We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

The Chamber office will be closed December 24, 25, & 31 and January 1st.

As the year comes to a close, I just want to thank each of the Board Members that have served so diligently for the past year for the Chamber of Commerce! Lydia Walden, Jason Tully, Emily Glass, Sheryl Paden, Judy Gregg, Gary Stribling, Markeda Fisher, Rodney Bass. Mike Horne, Ashley Goodman, Tammy Miller, Jennifer Gregory, Glenda Bassham, Lynda Hager, Carolyn McKinney, Larry Crowson, Chuck Sickles, and Debra Evans.

I would like to say a special thanks to Judy Gregg, Gary Stribling, Markeda Fisher, Jennifer Gregory, Larry Crowson and Lydia Walden as they complete their 3 year terms as Chamber Directors. Y'all are going to be missed! At the same time, I would like to welcome Rusty Harden, Doc Flesher, Bradley Edge, Randy Rushin, Johnny Ross, and Brandon Williams...new directors for this year!

A big special thank you goes to each of the Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors! Without y'all....the Chamber of Commerce could not function properly!!!

I don't do this very often, but I would like to take this opportunity to thank my amazing family for all of their support during the year! The Chamber often lends to a crazy schedule and my family is always right there by my side to support me! To my husband and best friend, Jake, you are my rock and I am so very thankful for you! To my amazing children, Ryder and Addison...I thank God every day that he gave Me the greatest children on the planet. And to my incredible Mom, Cathey.....thank you for teaching me to have a strong work ethic, to love passionately and to stand up for what I believe in! By the way, if you call the Chamber office and I don't answer, chances are, you will be talking to my Mom. She is graciously filling in at the office!

We are going to print with the buyer's guides, soon, and we REALLY want to have accurate information for every chamber member. If you have not checked our website or called to see if we have the right information, please do so...soon, so that we may get it all correct!

 

 

 

Would you like to recognize an Outstanding Educator?
Here is your chance...this year the Chamber of Commerce Education Committee want tos allow all Hopkins County Citizents to nominate their candidates from "Outstanding Professional Educator" (administrator, couselor, diagnostician, or teacher), "Outstanding Para Professiona" (secretary or aide), and "Outstanding Auxiliary Educator" (maintenance, custodial, transportation, nurse or cafeteria). We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to nominate that "special educator" that has had an impact in their lives. You many pick up a nomination form at the Chamber office at 300 Connally Street and then either fax, e-mail or mail it in, no later than December 31st! Don't miss this opportunity to recognize a special educator!

Nominations for Large and Small Business of the Year!
Please submit your nominations for Large Business of the Year or Small Business of the Year. Nominations should be for those businesses which exhibit outstanding community involvement and support....civic, church, educational, benevolent, humanitarian or other. You may pick up a nomination form at the Chamber office at 300 Connally Street and either fax, e-mail it in, no later than December 31st!

Many other awards are presented at the Chamber of Commerce Membership Banquet (February 21, 2013).
