Chamber Golf Championship

After a long day of golf, at the Sulphur Springs Country Club, on Friday, winners were announced at approximately 7:00 p.m., Friday night. Results are as follows:

 

First Place Low Net - Catacon

First Place Low Gross - Rock Creek Health & Rehab

2nd Place Low Net - Farmers Electric Co-op

2nd Place Low Gross - Mattison Insurance

3rd Place Low Net - Grocery Supply

3rd Place Low Gross - J B Weld

The highlight of the day was when Judson Weaver hit a hole-in-one on hole #4 and won the $500.00 prize provided by Craig Johnson's Edward D. Jones. "I've done it before but this is the only time I've done it that it really mattered in a tournament," described Weaver, as he discussed his fete.

 

"We had another great annual Chamber Golf Tournament and I want to personally thank everyone for a great event," expressed Chamber Director Meredith Caddell. "From the many, many community sponsors, to the players, and most especially the Chamber volunteers who worked all day and helped to make this event another great success. This is truly a communty effort and takes many volunteers to coordinate the tournament!"

Music to Caddell's ears was one of the players who approached her at the end of the day, it being his first year to play, and told her, "I had more fun today and count on me being back next year, if at all possible!"
