Christoval Winery Offers Oasis
in Western Hill Country
by: Bobby McDonald
You're driving south of San Angelo and see a landscape of rough cacti, sheep and goat ranches, and mesquite everywhere, when all of a sudden you notice a small, vintage winery located on the banks of the Concho River, one of the last place in Texas, you'd expect to find an estate winery. But, amidst the crystal clear waters that feed the Concho, sets the 25 acre winery, that grows four varieties of grapes and bottles a variety of wines, known only in the Texas Hill Country.

Their "Rambouillet" label is synonymous with the mascot for Angelo State University and the sheep that graze the pastures nearby.

Selections include a number of wines, and you're offered a tasting for the modest price of $5.00, that is refunded if you purchase $25.00 or more in product. To get a description of each of their wines, go to their website, www.christovalvineyards.com. And, you can order their delicious wines on-line from their website!
Enjoy the fruit of Christoval Vineyards!!!
