Municipal Building Renovations
by: Bobby McDonald
The City of Sulphur Springs hosted a groundbreaking ceremony at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, at the "Old Sulphur Springs Post Office/Library" Building on North Davis Street, to signify the beginnings of renovations for the historic structure to be used as a Municipal Building. Friday's ceremony featured members of the City Council, City Staff, and representatives from Hopkins County, and a number of local businesses.
"We're excited about beginning the restoration of this historic building that means so much to the people of Hopkins County and Sulphur Springs," advised Mayor Craig Johnson. "We know it will be beautiful when the renovations are complete and it can once again be occupied!"
