It was an emotional roller coaster for the Como-Pickton Eagles, on Friday night, as they traveled to Rivercrest and saw a halftime lead, diminish during the second half. The Eagles led the match-up 7-3 at midway in the game and saw the Rivercrest Rebels gain twenty points during the second half of the ballgame.

The Eagles scored on their first possession of the ball, as they captivated on a 62 yard drive and earned six points when James Carter ran across the goal line. Noe Tellez's extra point was good, and the Eagles led 7-0.

The Eagle Defense held the Rebels forcing them to settle for only a fieldgoal during the second quarter of the game. Spirits were high as the Eagles went to the lockerroom at halftime.

However, "the tide" changed during the second half of the ballgame, with two fumbles and an interception that set the Eagles back and the Rebels managed to capitalize on the mistakes.

The Eagles had 8 first downs during the match-up as opposed to the Rebel's 17 and only managed 169 yards of rushing to the Rebel's 325. The Passing game was a little bit closer with the Eagles accumulating 43 yards, opposed to Rivercrest's 62.

James Carter led the Eagles in rushing with 96 yards to his credit and Barnt Steele added 81 yards for the Eagles. And, it was Ryan Carpenter who led the Eagles in the passing game with two receptions for 26 of the 43 yards.

The Como-Pickton Eagles will be at home next Friday night, as they host Alba-Golden, in Homecoming 2007.
