Counseling Services Offered
To Community
From NTCAC
The Northeast Texas Child Advocacy Center is offering free counseling services to the public through a coordinated effort with Texas A & M Commerce for the summer and fall semesters.
A Master’s level Social Worker Intern, in collaboration with TX A & M, will be housed at the center in Winnsboro. As part of their program, interns are required to have direct contact hours with clients, which will be supervised by a professor at A & M and onsite by a Licensed Professional Counselor. The intern has had experience in various settings working with children, adults, and or older teens on issues of depression, anger, anxiety, grief, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other mental health issues.
If you or someone you know is in need of professional counseling, please take advantage of this opportunity to receive counseling at no charge by calling the center at 903-629-7588 to schedule an appointment.
