Over Winnsboro Red Raiders

From Coach Roy Moody

The Como-Pickton picked up an exciting district win, on Friday night, as they defeated their arch-rivals, the Winnsboro Red Raiders. Anytime the two teams play, you can count on a crowd from both of the neighboring communities, and Friday night was no exception, to make it a great win for both the team and their fans.

The Eagles led by one point at the end of the first period, and the Red Raiders led by three at the halftime intermission. However, the excitement was when the Eagles came back to take the victory with an explosive fourth quarter. The Eagles outscored the Raiders by two in the the third period to pull within one point of them. Then, in the final quarter, the Eagles outscored the Raiders 21-12, to claim the victory.
