The Como-Pickton High School Skills USA Chapter competed at the District 5 contest in Waco, Texas. The chapter took three projects to the competition, a Picnic Table (pictured above), a Coffee Table (in center), and a Bar (bottom ).

All of the projects made it to the State competition scoring at least 96 out of 100 points, (the minimum score to proceed to state is 90 points). The participants included Joey Satterfield, Jonas Satterfield, Daniel Wetzel, James Wilfred, Justin Radney, and Justin Simmons.

Instructor James Glasscock said, “I’m really proud and impressed with the projects the boys made this year. They really showed a lot of hard work and dedication building these projects.” The State competition will be taking place in early April in Corpus Christi, Texas.
