Como-Pickton Names Royalty at
Friday Night Football Game

Junior student, Aylin Cruz, was named the 2012 Como-Pickton Football Sweetheart,

by her peers, Friday night. She was escorted by varsity player, Caleb Boyd.

 

It was a night of celebration at Como-Pickton's Ron Heflin Field, Friday night, as the Como-Pickton Eagles and student body named a new Football Sweetheart and the War Eagle Band named their 2012 Beau and Sweetheart.

Four young ladies, each representing their high school class, were named to the Eagle Football Sweetheart Court. Nominees included: Freshman, Morgan Smith, Sophomre, Jackie Morales, Junior, Aylin Cruz, and Senior Elena Ochoa.

And, at halftime intermission and during the War Eagle Band presentation, that would serve as the last time this season that the band would perform before the hometown season, it was time to name the War Eagle Band Sweetheart and Beau.

Selected as Band Sweetheart by her fellow band members was freshman, Mercedes Ramirez, and fellow band members named senior, Eduardo Grimaldi, as the 2012 Band Beau.
