Tailgating at Como-Pickton

Como-Pickton High School Principal, Penny Armstrong, welcomes everyone to the
Como-Pickton Tailgate Party, on Thursday night.

It was a "chilly" night in Hopkins County, but the spirit was high as the Como-Pickton Class of 2012 hosted a tailgate party, outside Ron Heflin Field, in lieu of their traditional bonfire. "With the drought and burn bans in place, it wasn't an option to host the traditional bonfire for the senior class," explained High School Principal, Penny Armstrong. "But, we decided to host a tailgate party and pep rally to mark the last home football game and to celebrate senior night, that will be hosted on Friday night!"

The Alliance Bank Cooking Team of Keith Shurtleff, John Campbell, and Jason Thompson prepared burgers, hot dogs, and
sausage for those attending the tailgate party, at Como-Pickton.

And, the tailgate party was a "hit" with everyone, as the Como and Pickton communities came out and supported the youth at the school and Alliance Bank hosted the cooking of the burgers, hotdogs, and sausage, while the Eagle Band provided the music and the Como-Pickton Cheerleaders hosted a pep rally!

"I think everyone had a great time and school spirit was built for the Friday night game, here at Eagle Stadium!" expressed Armstrong. "We want to thank the Alliance Bank Cooking Team for all of their help and support!"
