I am so excited. I have watched this man go way beyond his required job duties for years. I was fortunate enough to be an aide for Tim years ago and learned so much from him. He helps me now or rather I help him in teaching a Math recovery class and I catch myself learning from him as well. He is a selfless individual whom I am proud to say I work with.
Congratulations TIM!!!!!
-Virginia Green, JH History Teacher

-Holly Willis, JH Reading Teacher

Congratulations on this well-deserved honor! It’s wonderful to see the difference you make in our students’ lives and school work.
I remember your work with so many students over the years, and how proud they are of their progress. By the way, I think you were chosen as Teacher of the Month back in 1996-97, when I first worked here. We’ve ALWAYS known how good you are!
-Marilyn Powers, Secondary Librarian
Several of the nominators mentioned how Mr. Butts is very visible in the community. One noted how he and his family have passed out candy during Trunk or Treat events for years. A student nominator stated Mr. Butts should be named, “Mr. CPCISD.”All of his nominators mentioned his incredible work ethic and good natured personality. One parent wrote, “Special education requires special people to teach special children in special ways. Mr. Butts is indeed a special person who has a special way with all he encounters.”
