Como-Pickton Eagles Fall
to Rivercrest
by: Bobby McDonald
The Como-Pickton Eagles played their final home game of the season at Ron Heflin Field, Friday night, as they hosted Rivercrest. And, being the final home game of the season, the Eagles conducted senior night, named a Football Sweetheart, and recognized the Como-Pickton War Eagle Band Beau and Sweetheart.
The Eagles put the first seven points on the scoreboard and lead most of the first half of the play. A touchdown by Rivercrest in the last minute of the second quarter, left the Eagles trailing 19-14 at the halftime intermission.
The second half of play found the Eagles falling farther behind and finally suffering a 41-21 loss for their effort.
The Eagles will travel to Paris Chisum, next Friday night, for the final game of the season, and are still searching for a season win.
