Lady Trojan Powerlifters
State Champions

 

Corpus Christi – With 5 lifters medaling, The Cumby Lady Trojan Powerlifting team captured the THSWPA 2012 1A State Championship. The American Bank Center hosted the two-day event for all the classifications in Texas, and on Friday, the Lady Trojans won the 1A Title. Cumby scored 22 points, outpacing second place Center Point.

Cumby qualified six lifters for the State Meet. Freshman Brianna Stone qualified, Molly Nance placed 1st making her State Champ in her wt. class, Courtney Salinas and Kayla Akers placed 2nd, Krystin Krodle placed 3rd and Breanna Gay placed 4th. Krodle was also the recipient of the THSWPA Scholarship.
