Cumby Celebrates Homecoming Week
With "Western Day" on Tuesday
by: Bobby McDonald

For students and staff at Cumby School, Tuesday was "Western Day" in a series of themed days to exhibit school spirit, that are being celebrated all week, as Homecoming Week is observed. Students wore hats, boots, chaps, and everything Western, on Tuesday, with Tyler Crump and Justin Smith being chosen by the "judges" as the "Best Cowboys!"
The themed days will continue through the week and Cumby will celebrate Homecoming Week, on Wednesday night with the annual Homecoming Parade that winds through town and ends at the football field, where the annual bonfire will be lit, as cheerleaders and the community join students in "stirring up" the Trojan spirit!

The 16 members of the 2012 Homecoming Court was named last week and on Friday night a new Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned, during a break in the football game, where the Cumby Trojans will host Trenton.
The week ends with the annual Homecoming Dance hosted at the school.
