Welcomes New Minister

Sunday, July 11, 2010, was a great day at League Street Church of Christ, as the congregation welcomed Dan and Jennifer Hammitt to Sulphur Springs. Dan has accepted the pulpit minister position at League Street and is excited about coming and working Sulphur Springs and the greater Hopkins County area.
"Dan Hammitt is a great man of faith and one who brings a lot of enthusiasm, passion, and love for ministering to young people, families, and adults," related Randy Reed, one of the elders at League Street Church of Christ. "He and his wife, Jennifer, recently moved to Sulphur Springs from Charlotte, North Carolina, and we're excited about them coming to work with us!"
Dan studied at Harding University and holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Education. He's been able to use his degrees to work in education, school administration, business, and ministry. His previous ministry experiences have been with churches of Christ in Michigan and North Carolina. The invaluable experiences he has gained throughout his previous positions have prepared him for this next step in his career.
Dan and Jennifer are excited about working with the League Street congregation and are passionate about worshiping God and serving others.
