Downtown Business Alliance
Makes Ready for Christmas Parade

It's a scene that's being created all over town, behind businesses, in barns, and in warehouses, as local residents are preparing for Saturday night's Annual Lions Club Lighted Christmas Parade. We "caught up" with the Downtown Business Alliance as they met at Edward's Used Cars and prepared the trolley for the parade. Blown fuses, adding batteries, untangling lights, and replacing bulbs was all a part of the process of getting the decorations ready and installed. However, by about 8:00 p.m. and a cold wind blowing, workers had made a decision to finish when the temperatures rose!

Saturday night's parade will begin at Buford Park and wind its way through the streets of Sulphur Springs, to the square and back out Houston Street, in the familiar route, bringing Christmas spirit throughout town with the lighted entries in spectacular array. Make plans to attend and enjoy the fun!
