Downtown Business Alliance Hosts
Business After Hours, Thursday,
In Courthouse

It was a "standing room only" crowd in the District Courtroom of the Hopkins County Courthouse, on Thursday afternoon, as the Downtown Business Alliance hosted this month's Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours Program. The event, catered by Judy's Kitchen, offered a chance for Hopkins County Business Owners to visit, network, and become acquainted.

 

 

"This program has become a highlight of the Chamber of Commerce," expressed Bob Weaver, coordinator of the program. "Everyone has a good time and enjoys taking a break and visiting with each other!"

 

 

"These receptions are a great way to meet new people in town and to slow down and just visit with your business neighbors," expressed Jackie Thornton, with the Hospital Foundation. "We're all so busy with work schedules that you need some time just to relieve the pressure and actually get to know your friends and neighbors!"

 

 

"I like the program because it offers a great way for us to introduce new business associates to the community," expressed Chris Brown, with Remax Real Estate Company. "It's a great way for someone new to Hopkins County to become acquainted!"

 

 

Members of the Downtown Business Alliance, not only offers refreshments, but they donated a bevy of door prizes, that were given away, to those who were present.

 

 

"I'm a winner again!" exclaimed Markeda Orwosky, owner of Professional Land and Title Company, as her name was drawn, Thursday night. She had won a one-night stay at the Holiday Inn Express, at last month's event.

 

 

"We have businesses that are already wanting to host the events, for next year," expressed Bob Weaver. "That's proof that the program is effective and everyone enjoys themselves!"

 

 

Past hosts have included: Town & Country Cleaners, Century 21-First Group, Guaranty Bond Bank, The Southwest Dairy Museum, Holiday Inn Express, and others across town.
