
DBA Meets Monday Night For
Regular Meeting

The Downtown Business Alliance met for their June meeting, on Monday night at 5:30 p.m., at Plain & Fancy Sandwich Shoppe. Members present discussed and approved the moving of the downtown Car Show, to the third weekend in October for 2013.
They also discussed and formed a committee to draft rules for the use of the newly purchased trolley.
The nominating committee submitted a slate of officers and adding additional board members. Several other nominations were submitted and added to the ballot, that will be mailed prior to the July meeting.

Community Development Director, Shane Shepard, presented a report concerning recent updates from the city of Sulphur Springs.
And finally in other business, the organization voted to help with an appreciation dinner for city workers, who have worked on the downtown area improvement projects.
The meeting adjourned with everyone being reminded of the Veterans' Memorial Dedication and 4th of July Concert and Fireworks, on June 30th.
