Local Dairy Farmers of America Members
Meet, Elect Representatives, and Receive Up-Date
by: Bobby McDonald
Local Dairy Farmers of American members met on Thursday morning, in the Hopkins County Regional Civic Center Exhibit Hall, for their annual meeting. Members were addressed by South-East Area Regional CEO, Randy McGinnis, who discussed the future of milk prices and made predictions of a rise in price of $2.00 - $3.00 per cwt, in the next two or three months.

"However, the price of corn is rising so fast, that will be consumed by feed prices," related one dairy farmer. "But, at least maybe milk will 'keep up' with the rise in feed prices, to keep us from losing any more money!"
Members enjoyed a BBQ lunch and re-elected Bryant Fisher and Jerry Spencer to be their representatives on the DFA Board, from this region.
