Local Biker "Dead At The Scene"
Following Early Morning College Street Accident

It was a "fateful" morning for local biker, Chuck Haverlan, age 58, as he rode his bicycle to work on Friday morning. Haverlan was struck from behind, as he navigated the College Street overpass, by another motorist, driving a Plymouth Voyager, who did not see the biker.

The 6:20 a.m. accident was investigated by DPS Trooper Bill Reese, who was still investigating the circumstances involved, Friday morning.

Haverlan was pronounced "dead at the scene" by Justice of the Peace, Yvonne King.
