Remembering Tanner Higgins,
Our Fallen Hero!!!

Word was received on Saturday, that 2007 SSHS graduate, Special Ranger Tanner Higgins, had given his life for our country and freedom, as he was killed under fire in Logar Province, Afghanistan. Tanner was the newly married husband of Yantis native, Shelby Allen Higgins. Tanner is the son of Patti Stone Sells and Danny Higgins, and the brother of Dillon Henegar and Noah Sells. Sympathy is extended to the entire family for their great sacrifice that we all might live free!

Tanner was a member of the 1st Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment, based out of Hunter Army Airfield in Georgia.

Born on January 31, 1989, Tanner was 23 years old at the time of his death!

Please join us in praying for Tanner's friends and family and praise God for this young man's sacrifice for the many, many freedoms we enjoy, and sometimes take for granted, until we're reminded by it hitting "here at home!"
