
Family Violence Call Results in "Stand-Off"
and Arrest, on CR-2300

A family violence call that was received at the Hopkins County Sheriff's Office, at 5:43 p.m., Monday, resulted in a "stand-off" with law enforcement officers, on CR-2300, south of Sulphur Springs. The SWAT Team was called and the ensuing investigation resulted in the suspect barricading himself in the residence.
According to investigating officer, Tony Hurley, the issue was resolved at approximately 9:06 p.m., with law enforcement being involved for over three hours.
The 41 year old suspect was arrested and taken to Hopkins County jail.
