Judge Chris Brown Issues
Fire Danger Warnings

During the next few days we will be experiencing higher winds and lower humidity causing an increased risk of fires to get out of control. We are still very dry causing an increased level of fuel for any fires that are burning. There is rain in the forecast for the weekend, so while I am not implementing an official burn ban, I will ask our residents to voluntarily not burn the remainder of the week or longer if current conditions exist. Even if we do see rainfall as expected, please continue to be mindful of the weather when you chose to burn. Try to wait for days with low wind speeds and higher humidity. Also, please notify our dispatch of the location and times you will be burning at 903-438-4040. This will prevent us from exhausting our volunteer firefighters and help us respond quicker should a fire get out of control.

Please also remember, you are responsible for any damages if your fire gets out of control.

Thank you for your assistance.
