Flags at Half-Staff For
State Rep. Ken Legler

 

Pursuant to Governor Perry’s order, in honor of State Rep. Ken Legler (R) Pasadena, all Texas and US flags should be immediately lowered to half-staff for the remainder of today and all day tomorrow (June 1-2, 2012).

Flags outside House District 144 should return to full-staff at on Sunday, June 3, 2012. Flags in Texas House District 144 should remain at half-staff through sunset on the day of the funeral once it is set by the family.

Flags should be lowered statewide again on the day of the funeral and return to full-staff at sunset or the end of that display day.

 

Ken Legler, a Republican state representative from Pasadena, has died. His office said he suffered an apparent heart attack at about noon today.

The District 144 representative, first elected to his seat in 2008, was 54.

He is survived by his wife and three children.
