Sulphur Springs Wildcat teammates surround Ivery, as he's presented the award.

An humbled Senior Wildcat Runningback, Willy Ivery, gave credit to his fellow Wildcat teammates, on Wednesday morning, for allowing him to be named the Ford Tough Player of the Week, by Ford Motor Company. "There's no 'I' in team," expressed Ivery. "And, I couldn't make those plays without the help of all of these guys having my back! This is a team award that is representative of the efforts of everyone!"

Ivery was presented the award by Ford Motor Company and Brian Toliver Ford representative, Jonathan Toliver, on Wednesday morning, at ceremony, in front of the SSHS Multi-Purpose Building. "I'm extremely proud of Willy as a football player and as the young man that he is becoming," expressed Coach Greg Owens. "It's great to see young men like Willy mature and become such a big part of our program and develop the skills that will make him successful in life. Willy is very talented on and off the field and that's what counts!"

"We're extremely proud to recognize these outstanding young men, of solid character, and athletic ability, who are leaders in their school and contribute to their community," expressed Jonathan Toliver. "It's great to get to recognize someone like Willy, that has excelled and continues to make a difference!"

Of course, Willy will be depended upon heavily, as the Wildcats advance in the play-offs, beginning with their game Friday night, in McKinney!
