4-States Rodeo Finals Unfold
Saturday & Sunday in Civic Center
by: Bobby McDonald
The Four-States High School Rodeo Association conducted their annual finals in the Hopkins County Regional Civic Center, on Saturday and Sunday, bringing a "bevy" of youth, parents, supporters, and their horses to Sulphur Springs and Hopkins County.
"We always enjoy the 4-States group coming to town," advised Pansy Bell, Civic Center Director. "They are some of the most well-mannered kids that you'll ever meet, and they come to town each year buying gas, horse feed, hay, and supplies, as well as eating at the area restaurants, and staying in the local motels. They make quite an economic impact on Hopkins County, and they're great to work with!"
Finalist in each of the events were named on Sunday night, following weekend competitions of the top 15 cowboys and cowgirls in the respective events. Watch for the complete listing of the winners, when they become available.
