Top Brown Swiss Judge at Ft. Worth Contest

FORT WORTH, TEXAS - SAVANNAH ALLEN a 4-H member from HOPKINS COUNTY, competed in the TEXAS OPEN JUNIOR DAIRY CATTLE JUDGING CONTEST, on Sunday, January 20th, placing1st in the INDIVIDUAL JR BROWN SWISS DIVISION at the 2013 Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo on JANUARY 20TH. The 2013 Show is proud to be hosting nearly 10,000 junior exhibitors from across Texas, competing for prizes and $107,445.00 in premiums.
The Hopkins County 4-H Dairy Juding Team consisted of Allen, Matti Smith, and Elida Miller.
Since 1896, the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo has remained a prominent figure in the livestock industry. The nation’s oldest livestock show will see a record of over 25,000 head of world-class livestock roll through “cowtown” between January 18 - February 9. While the show is continually looking ahead, the focus on the livestock industry and our youth is unwavering.
