"Smokin' In The Parking Lot!"
Guaranty Bond Bank Hosts
Customer Appreciation Cook-Out
by: Bobby McDonald
Well, the rain "held-off" and everyone had a great time at lunch on Wednesday, as Guaranty Bond Bank hosted their annual Customer Appreciation Hamburger Cook-Out, on the lot adjacent to the bank. The grassy knoll provided the ideal setting, beneath the pecan trees, and the cooler temperatures that have prevailed in the area, this week, made for a comfortable lunch. With threatening and misting rain, the bank's canopy provided cover and comfort, as patrons enjoyed hamburgers, hot dogs, and all the trimmings. Bank employees had cooked a variety of homemade desserts to everyone's delight!

"We use this venue as a means of letting our customers know just how much we appreciate their business," explained Bank President Craig Roberts. "It's a nice way to sit down and visit with customers in a comfortable atmosphere and enjoy some good food!"
Guaranty Bond Bank President, Craig Roberts, found that he had
another talent today, as he served as parking director, at the annual
hamburger cook-out, hosted by the bank.
Chief cooks were Joel Jackson and Matt Brown, with a number of bank employees aiding in the serving line, under the direction of Lynda Hager, coordinator of the event.
Many bank customers were happy to see Martin Bell, former president of the local bank, that has now advanced to the main banking facility in Mt. Pleasant. Bell was available to meet and greet with former customers and associates, here in Sulphur Springs.

"I'll match our dessert cooks with anyone," boasted Roberts, as he "tasted" of a few of the desserts. "They can tempt you with everything they make!"
The event was hosted from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and saw a number of Guaranty Bond Bank customers enjoying both the food and fellowship.
Roberts visits with customers in the informal atmosphere of Wednesday's Appreciation Luncheon.
