Help-A-Child Benefit Names Top Cooks
In Chili, Briskets, and Beans

Some of the best cooks in Hopkins County gathered on Saturday to provide the food for the Help-A-Child Benefit, as they cooked chili, beef briskets, and beans, to feed the large crowd that gathered on location of the Bartley Auction, on Hwy-19-South. All proceeds were to benefit four children's organizations and included music, an auction, and an antique tractor pull on Saturday morning and afternoon.

Named as winners in the cooking categories were:

 

Chili Cook-Off

1st place - John and Jo Glenn, sponsored by The Propane Company

2nd place - Beth Adams, sponsored by Copy Products

3rd place - Cumby FFA - sponsored by Cumby Telephone & 4G Veterinary Clinic

 

Brisket Cook-Off

1st place - Randy McCoy

2nd place - Kevin Thomas

3rd place - Luke Miller & Ton Coffman

 

Pinto Beans

Top Cook - Sherry Coffman
