An Old Fashioned Christmas
Enjoyed on Saturday Night, at Heritage Park
by: Bobby McDonald
Members of the Hopkins County Historical Society "rolled out" the welcome mat on Saturday night for one of the first glimpses of Christmas arriving in Hopkins County, as they hosted the first night of Christmas in the Park 2012. Members were dressed in holiday fare and the historic buildings were lit with Christmas lights, as thousands of lights glistened throughout the park. Christmas carols were enjoyed in the Chapel and Santa was available in the Smith-Gregg House, as everyone enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate.
The General Store was "decked out" in Christmas items for purchase and a roasting fire was aglow in the Vaden Cabin, just to name a few of the attractions at this year's event.
The Park will be open again, on Friday night, November 30th, as the only other time, for your enjoyment.

Merry Christmas From Heritage Park!!!
