Do Well, Be Well with Diabetes Fall Series
Have you, a family member, or a friend been diagnosed with diabetes? Do you need some guidance on managing your blood sugar? Would you like to receive quality, research-based information in an informal setting with others who have the same concerns? If you answered "yes" to any of these, I encourage you to sign up for the "Do Well, Be Well with Diabetes" series (DWBW).
DWBW is a 9-topic, 5-lesson series which covers self-management and nutrition topics. Below is a schedule of dates and topics:
Cost for the series is $20, payable at the first session, which includes all materials, refreshments, door prizes, and special guest speakers. Pre-registration is required by calling my office at 903-885-3443. Please leave your name, address, and phone number. Deadline to sign up is October 12th.
Here are comments from past participants:
"I learned the importance of watching carbohydrate amounts and portion sizes at meals and snacks. There is a lot that I wouldn't have learned on my own."
"I do have a choice and it's an important one - if I have diabetes, I can make it better with what I choose to do. This series was well-balanced."
"The classes were very helpful. I feel I have much better control over my diabetes."
"I think every doctor should prescribe this series for their diabetic patients. I learned so much!"
There you have it - straight from those who have participated in previous sessions. If you can't make it to this series, another is scheduled in late February and early March.
