Holiday Recipes To Celebrate The Season

Are you hosting a Christmas party in your home? Or, has someone asked you to bring food to a church or office party? Well, the following recipes are great for just such an occasion, and require minimum time to prepare, allowing you to enjoy the event! Using them, you're sure to be a "hit" and folks will be asking you for your recipes.

 

Holiday Ham and Cheese Ball

1/2 pound Deli Select Ultra Thin Honey Ham (Hillshire Farm)

2 cups grated Sharp cheddar cheese

8 oz. of sour cream

8 oz. Philadelphia Cream Cheese

4 oz. Diamond Slivered Almonds

1 Envelope from a 2 envelope pkg. of Lipton Onion Soup Mix

Paprika, to taste

Salt and Pepper, to taste

Chopped Fresh Italian Parsley

Finely chop the ham, into a large mixing bowl, add cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, almonds, paprika,
salt and pepper, mixing well. Divide into two balls, and roll in additional paprika and chopped fresh parsley.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Serve with your favorite crackers.

Yield: 2 Cheese balls.

Holiday Stuffed Cherry Tomatoes

24 Cherry Tomatoes, with top cut off and discarded, and seeds
and core removed

7 medium-sized radishes, chopped (1/2 cup)
2 tablespoons chopped almonds, toasted

Paprika, to taste
Salt, to taste
2 tablespoons mayonaise or Miracle Whip
1 tablespoon minced fresh Italian parlsey
1 teaspoon grated onion

Prepare tomatoes and wash them out, allowing them to drain on a paper towel lined plate.
Meanwhile, take a small mixing bowl and blend other ingredients, together.
Stuff each tomato with the prepared mix and chill until ready to serve.

This makes a very festive dish that adds color to the Christmas table.

Additional note: If you're pressed for time and don't have time to prepare this stuffing mix,
take pimento cheese spread and stuff the tomatoes with it and sprinkle with paprika and
add a fresh parsley leaf.
